Things I learned in China

  • The Exchange is is incredibly favorable to the US dollar, bring more money next time to spend on gifts. A 4 star hotel was $70 usd a night and dinner for 12 people was $60 usd.
  • There is a class called Effective Edge the helps you use Outlook more effectively
  • http://www.effectiveedge.com/dev/efe/efew.nsf/site!readform&pg=prodGTEo
  • In all situations consider the relationship over the current situations
  • There are 5,000 characters in the mandarin language. The English language has 26.  You have to know 3,000 characters of mandarin to read the news paper.
  • Its amazaing the kind of impact you can have on peoples lives even if you just know them for a short period of time.
  • We take our freedoms for granted.  For example to go to a christian Church in China you need to show a passport from Another country, because Christianity is closed for the most part to Chinese nationals.  Another example is my space, and YouTube are illegal in China
